Colored Contacts...?

I've been wanting to get some colored contacts that look natural, but also stand out and completely change my natural color, not just add a colored tint. My natural eyes are medium green, and I want to get contacts that are light blue or maybe silvery-gray. I wear prescription contacts almost every day because I'm slightly near sighted, so if the colored ones could help my vision, too, that would be great. Any advice on brands I could start looking at?

I know they make colored contacts that are corrective at the same time. since you do have vision problems it's best to ask your optometrist about this before anything else.

Defiantly check with your eye doctor first before anything - he'll/she'll be able to help you decide what brand is best for your eyes. Personally, I can truly tell when someones wearing colored contacts (they're a bit creepy to me) but that's just my opinion, i bet you'd be able to pull them off:)

A color tint lenses that dramatically change your eye color. No matter whether you have light or dark eyes with color tint contacts you can obtain any new shade you desire.

There are also lenses that have visibility tint. Those should not be confused with colored lenses as they are NOT designed to affect the color of your eyes at all, so don't be fooled by their blue appearance. They have light tint of blue or green to make them more visible in the solution or in case you drop your lens.

The center of both color tinted and enhancement tint lenses is clear, so a person can see.

One disadvantage of colored lenses is that, if the lens moves a bit it can overlap your pupil. The same happens when your pupils get wider in the dark - part of the pupil might become covered by lens. That might slightly decrease your vision temporarily. This is mostly a problem with opaque color lenses, transparent colored contacts usually don't affect your vision at all.

Colored ones that also correct vision would be pretty pricey.
Another thing before you go buying them is to make sure you can put them in. xD
Recently, I bought a pair of circle lenses, thinking I was the shit.
Yeah, wasted my money BIG TIME. I couldn't get them in to save my life.
Something to try is just 'scaring' yourself with objects close to your eyes, if you know what I mean.
Make sure you don't have a crazy blink reflex. xD
I'm not sure on brands and stuff, but have a look in your local pharmacy or chemist at some of them, make sure to ask about them so you know what you have to do. They're a big hastle to be honest.
