you may want to start a novice model profile on a site such as or coach models, or explore talent or such. First you should have a portfolio regardless of if you want to be site model, of photos , preferably professional. Build a portfolio around you headshots. You might want to include editorial looks, swimsuit looks, commercial and catalog looks, and even lingerie looks if you are hoping to break into that market. Make sure to obtain all of your pictures in digital form from the photographer, as you'll need to upload them online. You can also search online for whatever you want to model for, and see if they have modeling openings or are looking for one. Essentially you're not a model unless you're getting paid. but To become a model online, you must establish a web presence that will get you noticed.

get a local photographer to take some photos of you in different poses, keep them in a portfolio, keep your ears open for any model calls, and don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen right away. since you're pretty young, agencies will probably go for older girls who have more of a figure, etc. but don't give up either, go for it.

Email your portfolio to any sites that you really want to model for. If you're really motivated you can do it without necessarily knowing if they have an opening or not. Contact professional photographers in your area if you can, if you go to model mayhem, i'm sure you can find a photography near your area. Good luck. Remember to upload new pictures for each photoshoot you make, the best resume in the model world, is experience. :)
