I apply eyeshadow and it looks red why?

I have slightly pale skin and eyes that go from green to blue sometimes when I apply eyeshadow it looks red like I've been crying. Why does it do that and how can I prevent it?

maybe your rubbing it on too hard? or maybe it is slightly irritating your skin?

first i apply mine with my finger it blends well this way too or you can use a brush instead of the foam applicator

if it still makes your skin red i would try using a mineral shadow it's less harsh and maybe you're having a slight allergic reaction?

Yeah, there might be something in that specific eyeshadow that you are allergic to? I suggest trying another eyeshadow.

oh, that's happened to me before. i agree with the others on allergic reaction. If it's your eyes that become red it may also be because some loose pigments from the shadow have fallen into them. your lids could get irritated too. either way, it's likely to be allergy so try switching to mineral makeup.

I sometimes get it. If its the same as me then i think it just depends on how sensitive your eyes are feeling, like if i'm tired and put eyeshadow on it just looks really red and puffy or if i put it on to fast or i don't moisturise my eyes first it becomes red and puffy too. Maybe try moisturising your eyes first and then taking your time?

well i do the same thing. It only does it with light colors right?? To avoid it use darker colors because the mix of ur skin tone and the light color dont go well
