There are a lot of misconceptions about scene makeup. Many people think that its all about black and no other colors, when actually, there's plenty of room for color. There are a few different approaches to the scene style.

1. A TON OF EYELINER AND BLACK EYESHADOW.

Use a black eyeliner pencil along your waterline, bottom lashline and above your top lashline. Use black eyeshadow and cover your eyelid below the crease and a little above the bone.

2. LOTS OF COLOR!!!!

You still need the black eyeliner but only use it on your waterline and if you want to a thin line above your upper lash line. I would suggest using brightly colored eyeliners on your eyelid below the crease. and use another color along the edge and below your lower lashline.

Lots of mascara for both!

I suggest the eyemakup at Hot Topic. It's very potent and goes on smoothly and lasts for a long time. Not to mention the cheap price! There is a variety of colors there. I suggest getting one of each eyeliner color and a few different eyeshadow palettes and a few pigments.

Wet'n'Wild is another affordable makeup brand that will do the job without destroying your wallet. They don't have a very wide variety of colors but what they have is great.

Hope that helps!
