The reason for this is because the body over produces a substance called sebum. This is oily in consistency and can block your pores - the end result being the outbreak of acne.

Once you have an outbreak it is imperative to keep yourself as clean as you can. You need to cleanse your skin. You begin doing this by getting a cleanser that will help clean out your pores. Begin the process by steaming your face.

Just go boil some water put it in a sink and place your mug close to the water and give it about five minutes. Place a towel over your head to keep the steam in. At this point you can massage in some cleanser. After that wash your face with cold water so that you close the pores.

Drink lots of water. You need to keep your skin refreshed and help it from the inside out. Cut out sugary sodas and cut down on dairy. As for home remedies you can cut up garlic and rub it in to the affected area.

there are neutrogena (sp?) nose strips for black heads. they come in boxes of six and they're kind of like paper mache that you peel off slowly and the bumps stick to it. i just cut them into different shapes and put them wherever. they work really well for taking care of it, plus they look neat =]

you can look in my blogs under the 'skin' folder to see what i do. the nose strips can be used on your chin but those never worked for me. i use a face wash/scrub mix after i've been in the shower for a few mins for the hot water to open my pores. and atleast wash your chin and around your nose off with water every morning when you wake up and wipe it with a rag. you can also do this during the day if you feel greasy at school

I used clean&clear by Johnson&Johnson when I had problems with acne. it helped me a lot. Garnier is good too (:

I highly recommend the brands mentioned below. Other than that, try to determine the culprit (i'm guessing it could be your toothpaste), since it's mostly concentrated around the chin area and switch brands if it is indeed causing acne.
