yes its very important you should stretch everyday especially before exercising with weights or dancing walking anything

truthfully it can get your heart beating so if you do vigurous streatching i think it can count as cardio. but you have to get your heart pumping so like i think that would be extreemly hard

i would stick to calling walking or running exercising. always streatch to warm up your muscles so you don't pull something (and walking can count as streatching before a run)

just anything you do start out slow for about 5mins then you can move to something that really gets your heart pumping and burning those calories

No...although it is very important to stretch before & after your workout. Yoga would be a good alternative.

Yes, stretching is a form of exercising... it starts warming up your muscles. Try pilates which has a lot of stretching and muscle toning.
