how can i get my hair to look choppyer?(yeah i spelled that wrong i think)

so when i go to a hair salon i ask for a bunch of short choppy layers and i say like i want them to be noticeable, but they never are, they are there but i cant see them well and they arent noticeable. what do i ask for or how could i get them to pop more? even when i tease it i still cant notice them help:) and i want to get my fringe re-cut...does any one have pics of razored staircase bangs ? i could not find any? do u think i would look good with them? if not how should i get it cut because it grew out and looks like stupid skater hair

sounds like your stylist doesnt understand the look youre going for. you should bring in a picture to help her out. what are razored staircase bangs? i looked for them and cant find them anywhere. i say, if you want bangs, you have to be committed to the maintenance because they grow fast and sometimes things can get ugly. i would say trying for a choppy bang look to match your choppy layers (this may be what the staircase look is idk)

i cut my own layers

i take the first section and i don't cut down or use a razor (it makes them so blended) i 'texturize' the ends (by cutting upward into the ends until i cut off the length i want them at

then i just do that at the same level all around my head, and then start on the next section of layers
