Okay, so I just threw out my coverup and finishing powder (really cheap shit). The stuff sucked....bad. I was looking for new recomendations on foundation, coverup and finishing powder. I don't know what it is, but everytime I put on makeup I just look really bad with it on. I'm about to give up on it all together, but I love makeup so much!! I guess what the problem is, is that everytime I put on face makeup I can tell I'm wearing it. I guess the word I'm looking for is maybe the makeup looks flakey, cakey, dry. Idk, but I've even tried Bare Minerals and it does the same thing...and they're supposed to be a good brand. Maybe I should try liquid stuff instead of powdery stuff. Idk...recomendations, suggestions, tips?

you know I think you might be putting on too much, idk..or maybe they're just bad. yes, liquid goes on better on most skin types so I'd say it's worth a shot. I've tried Maybelline Clear Smooth Aqua gel foundation and it had just the right coverage, felt light, like i didn't have anything on. Also, I've heard raves about Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation. It's supposed to appear natural but covers up well. Useful tip: be sure to choose a shade that's closest to your skin tone. anything that doesn't match will give your face an ashy, pinkish or orange appearance. ugh!

i like using the CoverGirl Cream Foundation in the dark blue oval pack i just spread it on lightly i only dab my sponge once or twice totally and i don't have any real amount on the sponge more like just the color is on the sponge

i also like using Nutregena Blemish fighting Liquid foundation. i dab it on with my finger one spot on each cheek, one on my nose, one between my eyebrows, and one on my chin. i let it dry for a few seconds then i blend them with my finger. it's actually my fave to use.

i rarely will use any powder but when i do it's the CoverGirl one and i like to use a brush. i dab it, tap it over the sink, then i use only what is there on my face, sometimes i do that twice

Well, I only use powders except on special occasions like weddings, then I'll use liquids annnd powders. BareMinerals doesn't work? GASSP!!! D:
Well, I don't really recommend liquids cuz they make you look flakey and cakey if you put too much on. Try just putting a little on in the T-Zone, like one drop from the bottle. If your skin is oily, I wouldn't use just powders. But if you do and your skin's oily, I would get the powder just ONE shade lighter than your skin cuz the oil will make your skin appear darker, so, yeah. Lolz. Buuuut, the best kind I would recommend would be a liquid/powder. It's like a two in one, and it's really fast and easy.:3 I would use good brands like L'Oreal, CoverGirl, Neutrogena, Maybelline, those kinds.(: Hope this helps! :D

I think you should go with liquid foundation! I recommend Shiseido... If you want it to look natural, first wash your face, apply moisturizer, and then add a thin layer of Shiseido foundation...
