Well why don't you continue using the fake ones? I'd imagine they're not half as painful and you can just take them out so your dad can't see. I'd say just keep using fake ones and he can't really stop you when you are an adult which is only a little while longer... Just wait and use the fake ones until you don't have to get your dads approvel on everything :L

I can identify with this post completely. I had wanted my lip pierced since about 14, but I knew my parents would never agree. I also used fake ones for fun. Anyway, when I finally turned 18 I went and got it pierced with a friend of mine a few weeks before leaving for college as kind of.. a last "hurrah!". My dad didn't talk to me for about a week and was seriously disappointed, but I am now 22 years old with more than just a lip piercing. They got over it and of course they love me anyway. So, with that being said I know you aren't going to like what I am going to say, BUT I think you should just stick to the fake ones for now. When you turn 18 and can afford it on your own, it feels much more liberating and you don't have to plead with your dad until he reluctantly gives in since you'll be 18. Also, think about your dad's situation.. we all hate to admit it, but what you do to your body, reflects your dad at this point because you are underage. Therefore, people may judge his parenting capabilities and maybe he feels that way. It sucks that people can be so ignorant, but it's life.
