beauty on a budget

do you have any tricks that might come in handy when running low on cash (or your beauty stash)?

lemme share a few i know:

*don't throw out an almost empty mascara tube just yet, use it to tame your brows. It can even replace brow pencil!

*when you're out of hair styling products, substitute with hand lotion to tame frizzies.

*rub lemon or orange rind on your teeth before drinking coffee or munching on chocolates--they help whiten them and prevent stains from settling on the enamel.

Well, insted of buying face masks and that kinda stuff you can make your own out of fruit and other stuff you can find in your kitchen.

Lemon is really good on acne scars, as lemon, like you said with the teeth, has a bleaching effect and can help making them fade. It can also gratually ligthten the rest of you skin, if you wish to use it for that. Once a week, more or less, I mix water and lemon juice in a spray bottle and spray it on my skin after a shower. It is importen to remember, that just after you put it on, your skin is more sensitive to the sun. It can even be used to make natural highlights. By putting it in your hair and sitting in the sun.(I haven't tried the last one, but I read about it) :P

you can use clear mascara to tame brows or stop the frizzies

you can mix sugar or salt into your face wash to make a face/body scrub

check out your local dollar tree for cheap face washes and sometimes name brand makeup for only A DOLLAR!

Tooth paste can quickly heal pimples

eggs , honey , avracado make great hair masks for damaged hair & also use them as face masks.

That's bout all I can think of.

buy things you use everyday such as shampoo, cleansers, razors etc. . in bulk. it actually is cheaper.

if you already have a flat-iron, use it as a curling iron to get soft waves

use bronzer as an eyeshadow

use black mascara as eyeliner (you need a tiny eyeliner brush though)

use a champagne coloured eyeshadow mixed with Vaseline to make lipgloss

don't apply make-up when you aren't going anywhere one day. you'll be suprised how much longer you can have your make-up for without having to go buy new stuff every month (although you should replace your make-up AT LEAST once a year)
