what do you think of burgundy hair?

I dyed my hair this dark burgundy color... everyone likes it.. but me! what do you think of burgundy hair in general? what about on me? I wasn't going for a 'natural' look by all means, but I think it's too dark and I want it to fade asap.

Years and years of dying hair and having freckles.... Well, thats the problem with your opinion on it. It is a very solid color. When my hair was that my freckles always made me seem slightly more splotchy? I think that is how it felt. Try throwing some highlights into it to brighten it up and get the levels to match your facial levels. If your going a little unnatural with it then add a shade of purple (will give it depth) and then get a lightener that is also a shade of burgundy. Sally's has GREAT versions of red and a purple. :)

i LOVE burgandy hair especally if you have brown hair to start i think it goes with their coloring

you can use a brown or blonde rince (look in my lists under 'stuff i use' to see the glosser i used and it worked so well when a salon dyed the ends of my hair black and i wanted them brown again)

that will SLOWLY add some color change but not damage your hair. you just use it every day after you shampoo and condition. leave it set on for a few mins while you shave, your palms may look a bit of the color but it will go away after you wash them good

i LOVE the color!!! I would start putting lowlights in your hair to start off with...some browns or even dirty blondes.

Buy head and shoulders it will strip the colour really fast. It will be really hard for your hairdresser to get a nice blond untill the colour fades, but i think it looks really good.

oh no I dont want it to be blonde at all, I just dont want it to be so dark, I want it to fade a lil and just get a lil more auburn or brownish. I used head and shoulders 3 times and left it in for 15 minutes the night before I went to the salon (it just gets the excess dye out doesnt really strip it all that much) she used gel crystals to lift off color also, so she did bring it up a bit. I just want the intensity to decrease.

Try fairy liquid then if head and shoulders doesnt work. I only thought you wanted blond because you said that you where having heavy highlights so i just asumed blond lol. What number did you colour it. is it a base 3 or 4.

Did your hairdresser ask you about stripping your hair this will bring it back to its natural base then you can re-colour your hair. i dont know what condition your hair is in, but stripping your hair can damages it, it just depends on how much you actually hate the colour.

or you could have like a peroxide wash this will take it out abit, or a bleach wash.
