I have hair like that too (Yes my hairs straightened in my picture) and it can get really annoying. One thing i really like to do with my hair, is after i wash it at night i put mousse on the top section (parted like your doing your hair half up- half down) and then i braid it. I leave the rest of it down, and it does look kind of crazy when your doing it but after it looks nice. In the morning I straighten the part i left down (It helps your hair look less thick) and then i take out the braids.I use mousse or hair gel to touch up the top and back (It gets a little crazy there) that were messed up while i sleep. Your left with a nice wavy but controled hair. Hope this helps C:

ok, when you get out of the shower from washing your hair first thing you should do is get a small amount of conditionor ( like the size of the nail on your pinky) and quickly rub it through your hair with your fingers. it helps get more managable curls and reduces fizziness. dont blow dry your hair as this will make it feel and look dry, it sounds like you need to change your shampoo and conditioner, a good brand for your type of hair would be Herbal essence (and its cheap). just towl dry your hair, then let it dry naturaly, then to style it you could do things like piggy tails (two down each side) which are really cute, other then that, when you do get your hair back to good condition you can leave it out and stuff. another thing that you could do would be to go to the hairdressers and get them to fine it out, it will make it feel better, look better, reduce fizzness and have more of a healthy look

good luck:thumbup:

DO NOT i repeat, DO NOT use herbal essence!!!

their products are cheap for a reason..

try tresemme or pantene

try not to straighten your hair too much, and if your hair really is that thick, perhaps try thinning it? i have thinning scissors that i use to touch up my hair now and then so if you know how to use them, they're great.

go to a salon/hairdresser and talk to a hairdresser/stylist about your hair. find someone who has naturally curly hair themselves, and talk to them abuot ways to make your hair more manageable and better looking.

they can show you some upkeep tricks

that's what i did and my hair is a lot easier to work with now. (:

thinning shears can be not so great for curly hair

but i do like the idea of getting some kind or chemical relaxer. you can call some salons and some of them use more natural relaxers to help control your hair and you don't have to go bone straight you could just help tone down the curls so it's not so puffy

it depends on the person. herbal essences has always worked fine for me.
