I have seen the henna, but I do not know how well it would work. There is a red-red that is made for dark hair. I actually purchased it from Sally's beauty supply store. I don't know what local beauty supply stores you have in the UK.,default,pd.html?cgid=Hair05-01

(This is a link to the site of the exact product i used. I have dark brown hair and I used the Red. You have to purchase a developer as well, you mix them together and you just wait.) If you want a brighter red then you can do it twice. The have more shades of the reds at the store itself. I hope this helps you. hopefully you can find a place that sells this.

Henna works on hair the more you use it the more you see it. Its like a toner it doesnt colour your hair red, but when you move your hair you see it really bad. After a while it will go red.

BUT never ever use it!!!!!!!!!!! If you use henna on your hair you can not colour it after. Hair colour and henna when put together makes a chemical reaction!!!! It is really dangerous.

I would recommend a semi permenent hair dye. As these do exactly what you want.

If you do use henna make sure you let your hairdresser know.
