Anorexia? :/

okay so im alright atm

but i have SORT of suffered from anorexia previously. idk if that IS anorexia or not but nevertheless...

it lasted about a month- mebe a little longer- before i got sense talked into me

see, i got convinced i was overweight, & stopped eating.

it started off by reducing the amount of meals i eat, untill i only ate stuff like a sandwich a day

& then there was a week when i ate nothing AT ALL. i got really ill, & i even almost fainted once.

i tried to get through the hungry moments by sleeping, so i would sleep most the time so i cud easily ignore the hunger. i had become very weak & very thin. & it was no use talking to parents coz they thot 'it was just another one of my dramas'

see, theyr like that. they think evrythin i do is an act. that im pretending. so they dint take that eating thing seriously. but after i saw i weak i was, i tried eating little bits..& then people talked sense into me afterall

but see, the thing is.. im very..fickle. i change minds about things pretty quickly.. im POSITIVE this might happen again in the future.. coz .. well the reason i started eating again was because i knew it would mess with my height.. but once im grown i wont be able to help but be like that again.. & i dunno how i will be able to stop..

what should i do suppose it happens to me again?

put a reminder in certian places around the house that reminds you to eat! or warn your friends and tell them if it happens again hold you down and force you to eat!

I agree with samigore, put signs around the house, tell your friends and write little messages to yourself. Go online to a site that shows you all the bad things about being anorxic, print it off and tape it somewhere you will see it everyday. here are some sites you might want to read:

instead of stopping eating to lose weight. do it in a fun healthy way. go for a jog around your block with some friends, get into sports, get active during the summer! get soething fun to do with friends to give you confidence back and to look healthy and skinny :) good luck

I could tell you what you need to do but the fact is you won't listen. You'll just write it off as non-sense and convince yourself that you don't have to do these things since your a girl and you want to remain "feminine".

Alright, I'll take that risk. :)

I left the same answer on another question.

- Workout 3 times a week with weights.

This doesn't mean a sissy workout using 5 pound dumbells. I'm talking bench press, squats, and deadlifts.

- Eat 1g protein / lb lean body mass.

Your diet needs to be full of protein, low glycemic complex carbs, and healthy fats.

- Reduce calories to lose 1-2 lbs / week.

You should not lose more than probably 1.5 pounds a week.

- Drink a gallon of water a day

Plain and simple.

- Get 8 hours of sleep a night

Even simpler.

This is not a diet. It's a life long commitment. I've seen girls make some pretty amazing transformations doing those simple things.

This will get you the body you want and it will give you the confidence you need to beat anorexia.

yeah iv been trying to work on the 8 hour sleep thing

& same with the food

though i must say, i dont think the wieght loss iis the only reason i dont eat alot

its more like.. im never hungryy

but yeah iv been trynna drink more water, have more protien & shiz

& yeah, i do excersise evryday

i think im gonna pass on the weight lifting.. despite the fact im not girly, i dont THINK i wud want muscles :L but i do alot of excersices

I was expecting that attitude. lol. You girls and your fear of muscle. It's funny because no matter how hard you work out your not going to get muscular. lol. The only thing that would happen is you might get a tight ass body and a big confidence boost. :)

'my fear of muscles' only activated when i saw my neighbour for the first time.. had it not been for her hair & chest, i wudve thot shes a man.

damn, she had HUGE muscles

i dont think i would wanna look like her

but hey i aint THAT bad

i still do alot of excercises ;)

sumtimes push ups even! ;]

you have to be stong. and self esteem will help alot.

usually when you get older that will fix itself

anorexia can make you very sick, it will make you loose muscle, you will be tired, your organs will STOP functioning, and you will die.

the best way to deal is eat a healty diet and exercize (30mins 3 days a week)

it's not that hard to take care of yourself properly but some people are pansies and think it's easier to stop eating. and sure it can be if you like killing your body in order to look how you want.

it takes a strong woman to keep healty and in shape but if you love yourself it's not hard to do

thats like heading to become anorexia since your really damaging your body by making it weaker

you dont have think your overweight and just cut out everything ,what you have to do is eat more healthy

hang in there being skinny isn't everything

fainting,feeling ill!? girl thats not right ,you at least need sum kind of meal to function during the day

girl u only have 11 ! u dont have to be in this kind of pproblems...


when I was 13 I started with this kind of things (but instead of anorexia, I was into bulimia and after with drugs) and today I'm 16 almost 17 and untill last year I was on therapies and treathments... It's so freaking hard to be out of this things...

personaly it was easier to me to be out of drugs than bulimia...

please girl... love yourself... accept u...
