I got this dress and it's too loose!

So, I bought this dress online from target and it's a size too small. I can't return because I wouldn't get my $6 for shipping back. Got any ideas of what I could do to it to make it a little tighter in the waist and bust that won't ruin the dress? I can't get it taken in because it would cost twice as much as the darn dress itself cost.

do you know how to sew at all?

you can pinch inside the dress along the seam along each side. then use some safety pins (for temporary) to make it tighter to fit. then you can use a like colored thread to make small stitches along that safety pin line

ps you can just use the safety pins but the stitches would be safer

You'll need a girlfriend to help you take in the dress. Follow the seams that are already on the dress, and pinch them in every two inches or so. Pin it, then find a like-colored thread and sew it up. Use small, even stitches - if you've got a sewing machine, use it! You can draw the line on with chalk if you're unsure. Any stitches you make can be taken out without hurting anything.
