What shape eyeliner and shadow best suit those of us with big eyes?

I have large-ish dark brown eyes and my skin color is on the fair side, I always feel like I overdo my eye makeup, especially smokey eye makeup. I love makeup and doing my makeup but I feel like I don't know what's right for my eyes. Can you give me some tips?

I also like their eye make up , it's better to stick to darker colours and for eye shadows skin tones and hues if you want it to appear more natural.

okayyyy, disregard the first person who posted -.-'', this is hardly the site for that.

With big eyes, your objective is to figure out whether you want your eyes to appear larger or smaller. Larger would work if you had circle lenses to make them appear more doll like. So usually the preference is to minimize them, In which case, the eyeliner would have to encircle the eye. I always have the problem of overdoing it myself, but now i use magazine scans and try to emulate and copy the makeup of the models with the closest eye shape to mines.

I find that for fair-ish and big eyes the japanese gyaru makeup works best and looks very clean and mature since essentially that is a component of them. You could try her make up * btw, i'm posting closeup of the eyes images*

PURPLE!! try to use purple as much as possible. For example when doing a smokey eye use a very deep purple instead of black, also instead of using black eyeliner, line the top and bottom lashes with purple eyeliner (or eyeshadow applied with an angled brush) you can mix it up by using lighter/brighter shades of purple, but be sure to always put mascara on after applying eye makeup, it gives you a more polished, finished and natural look(even if your using bright sparkly purple eyeshadow)

A good dark purple eyeshadow is called "Nocturnell" and it is made by M.A.C. Cosmetics.

To Make Your Eyes POP curl your eyelashes and apply a few coats of good mascara, like benefit Bad Gal Lash.

One more trick is to line the inside of your eyes with white eyeliner, it makes eyes appear larger.

Finally, try to minimize the amount of eyeliner you use on bottom lashes, simply coating bottom lashes in mascara should be sufficient. to open eyes up line only the top lash line with either liquid eyeliner or an angled brush (try to stay away from liner sticks)

i have larger eyes and i look best with a small cat eye.

i line my top lid only and i make it thicker toward the outer edges then i apply shadow like normal. but you can't see my eyelids when my eyes are open so it does no good to do crazy bright eye makeup. i stick to shimmery shear colors that draw attention to my eyes but they don't overpower them.

Yeah I ignored that... random.

Yeah I tend to either thicken my eye liner too much and sometimes when i look at myself in the mirror i get so frustrated and wash it all off and then just put on a really thin line (no flick/winged out bit at all). Maybe I have trouble with the shape of my eye? I dunno.. it just never looks right to me. Where did you post the eye make-up pics?

I have MAC's fluidline in the purple shade, i love it but I'm a little hesitant.. I love trying new looks but i don't want to end up looking like a nut job because i didn't apply it the right way :p
