Hand help?

Okay. I have a problem with biting my nails, and sadly picking at my cuticles? Can anybody possibly help me stop?

Well i understand your problem. And i would recomend you to keep yourself occupieded because u would probably bite your nails when you are bored or not doing anything. And when you are at home wear clobes they will keep you from biting your nails. And soon you will get accustom to not bitting your nails. And you could use some garlic nail polish, they will keep your nail stron.... Good lok!:D:thumbup::D

I've read somewhere that there's a product to make you stop biting your nails. But I can't remember how is it called. It is used just like a nail polish, but it tastes horrible..

you may try with simple nail polish. It has a horrible taste to, and it look bad if you bite them..

i had the same problem when i was younger but now i stopped after i realized the ammount of bacteria and other harmful organisms i was taking in. thinking about that made me stop biting my nails. so i guess the best way to stop is to either find something negative about nail biting or else something positive about having long nails. according to a friend of mine having nails painted in a cool way (for eg nailart) helps to stop you from biting them as you'll try to keep them pretty.

go to the nearest nail shop and tell dem about you problem they should have the product JACQUELINE is talkin about or u could google it.

i know dis is nasty but when i was in elementary my teacher told a girl 2 put ear wax on the nail she bit the most and sure enough she tasted it a few times and she stopped lmao

sound like u have bad nerves though so get a stress ball and some gum when u think about bittin your nails squeeze da stress ball and chew da gum

Hey, I have the same exact problem. I do it because I am stressed out or really bored (which makes sense because I usually massacre my nails in English class :))) There is a product that you can buy- it's called Thum (or ThumB, I can't remember if it actually has a B in it or not. . . ) It's supposed to stop thumb-sucking and nail biting. You can get it at Wal-Mart. It tastes really gross and has cayenne pepper in it. Another trick that has helped me is to put nail polish remover on my nails in the morning whether I have nail polish on or not. The nail polish remover tastes even worse than the store bought product and it stays throughout the day, no matter how many times you wash your hands. Well, good luck and I hope I helped!

for the cuticules,

i would suggest right after you get out of the shower,

push them back,

they have little nail kits that has the tool to do that with, or you could use your fingers.

They get soft from the wetness/ mist in the shower, so they're really easy to push back. when they harden, they'll be at the back of your nail,

so you can pick at them.
