Second question, sorry, but for important cause!!! x

Sorry, I don't usually post 2 things in one night.. :/ I feel spam-ish tbh :P

Anywayk, this is more photo editing, and its for my friend who i haven't seen in ages. I'm doing this picture of us when we were little.. well any way, i would LOVE if you guys could

a) tell me what this effect is &/or

b) Tell what programme it could be on

I mean how they have th picture in the writting.. you'll get it when you see the pic.. x

Hope some of you know, I'm not sure,

looking all over my editing programmes.. don't have it.. :/

Thank you :)

This involves a series of effects essentially it's words that act as a screen in front of the picture, like a little stencil.

On GIMP

Layer 1:

Font layer, choose whatever font you want, make sure it's thick enough, big enough and bold enough so that the picture can be seen through the dark parts.

Right click using selection tool on the Layers box and click "ALPHA TO SELECTION" this should outline all the letters

Layer 2:

Image Layer

File>> Open as New layer>>Choose the Image you want

In the Layers box>> Right click image layer>>Add Layer Mask>>Selection

and that should do it, make sure the image layer is over or on top of the font layer.

After that you can do whatever you want to the image.

The one I made is pictured here :

easy way

have 2 layers

top layer be a white background

second back layer be the picture you want

type big chunky letters on the top white letter in any color

pick the color used in the letters (make sure the 'continuous' box in un checked so it'll select all the colors even if they're not touching)

then just delete out the words and you're left with that white background color with see through letters so you can see the picture on the second layer

Those words are the lyrics from the Killers "Human". Sorry, I had to let everyone know that, I LOVE, LOVE the Killers. Listen to their song "Read My Mind"!!!!!
