I'm ugly, please help..

I really need some help. I've never really paid much attention to my looks before, I've never worn make-up and I was fine being teased about it in my high school days. I still enjoyed HS and have friends who were fine with hanging out with the 'weird, ugly, tomboy.'

But now, I'm turning 20 and I want to be taken seriously. I'm thinking of changing my lifestyle 'cause most people still treat me like a kid. Well, I don't blame them, I still look like a pudgy 13 yr old up to this day. I think my body stopped growing at that time. The way that I think isn't any different either, I still like the same things and like doing kid stuff like playing games or going to the arcade and stuff...It's like time froze for me at 2003. Some people still can't believe how much I've NOT changed. I freaked out about that a few years ago, so I went to the hospital, got a check-up and a brain scan, and the doctor said everything was fine. :(

But I really want change, is there any hope for me?

that's me at 19

I totally get how you're feeling...I'v never worn make up and got teased about it in school, but what does make up really do anyway? It just masks what you actually look like, so just be proud of who you are! I know way too many people who hide behind their make up and only care about looks. You shouldn't become one of these people and you definitly shouldn't want to! :)

You are not ugly! Nothing bad at looking young trust me i get that a lot in person think of it as a compliment try to be positive =] that will help out a lot. Time is your best friend =] maybe try to think positive about everything it might be hard at first but it will work and you will start noticing in time. Believe it or not i still play video games as well shhh =/ nothing wrong with that i promise! Everyone is different, everyone have their own way of enjoying life or hobbies. If you really want to change your life and style or get style i think browsing through the net for ideas can help even having a friend go shopping with you that is willing to give you ideas.

millions of women are dying to look as young as you do! you're not ugly! you just need something to make you feel fabulous, maybe go to a salon and get a new haircut. good luck!

yes, it's all about attitude, alright! you can start by getting that "ugly" thought outta your head.. because you're not! although, I do agree you look a tad too young for your age. On retrospect, there's certainly nothing wrong with being a kid at heart--we all ought to be sometimes! But since you're aiming to appear more like your age, a little bit of primping wouldn't hurt. Some makeup maybe and a shorter, preppy-ish hairstyle.

I'm not gonna lie to ya, you don't look like a 20yr old, in fact you don't even look like you've had puberty yet.:) BUT you're definitely not ugly, I think you're adorable, & I'm sure you'll look even better with light make-up & a new hair-do.

Try the 'Sleek, long layered hair style with choppy bangs. Side layers are very minimal, not face-framing, which wouldn't work well on this model's round face shape.':

Mandy Moore's style will make you look more sophisticated:

I don't suggest trying to make yourself look older. You just need a few foundations to make that natural beauty shine. Try this video link, Charice's look definitely suits you:

By the way, there's nothing wrong with liking video games & arcades. I also like having fun & even roller-bladding.You're never too old to enjoy life's simple pleasures.

And looking young for your age doesn't mean it's not normal. Think of it this way, when you're 30, you'll probably look 20 ;) But for now, just remember to always carry an ID.

The first thing that you u are have to change is your attitude honey!! You are Not ugly, you're FABULOUS!! Always remember that, believe that and people will take you seriously. As for your style you look like you are a comfy casual kind of person..there is nothing wrong with that. Work with what you have. SInce the '80's style is back, rip up those jeans and add some funky jewelry. BTW..I'm 33 and still play video games ;-)

Thank you so much, I'm definitely gonna try Charice's look. (I love her btw) But I probably can't pull off the hairstyles though. Anyway, thanks for being straight up with me.
