well, first of all, you should wash your hair max 2 times a week. use a mild shampoo and you MUST use a regenerator (I use Syoss for dry and damaged hair-professional hair care). once a week you should a hair mask. you could make one by yourself or buy it. I bought mine at a hair salon, it's honey based and doing wonders for my hair. always rinse your hair throughly and make sure you don't have shampoo or something left on it.

some people suggest washing your hair in beer. they say it makes their hair shinier. I think they're right but I don't feel attracted to the fact that I will smell like beer throughout the day.

so, after you wash your hair, you could use some more products. Tigi has some great hair products, but they are also professional and can be very expensive-I have bought my TIGI's Bed Head control freak also via the hair salon. but I think I saw them at some drugstores.

then, you could also use coconut, walnut or avocado oil to your hair. it will really feed your hair and reduce the firzzy-ness.

try to avoid straightening or curling your hair every day. that's why my hair is so damaged

if your hair is really really damaged like mine was due to everyday straightening and practically raping it with heat you can even use silicon. silicon really help if your hair is extremely damaged, but don't overdo it. don't ever use it every day-though it can be good for your once in a while but if you use it everday and use it a lot it can really suffocate your hair. so it's all about being moderate.

hope I helped ;D

Rinse your hair with cold water to enhance the shine of your locks. Rinsing with cold water will close & smoothen the cuticle making it look shiny.

Two ways to close and smoothen the cuticle after shampoo are:

a. To 1 gallon of distilled water add 1tbls of vinegar. Once the shampoo is washed apply the rinse. (It might not give a good odor, but the results are good.)

b. Apply acidic conditioners after rinse.

Get a transparent color on your hair in the same way normal colors are applied. The color will add little pigments to the hair shaft that would make your hair shine when light falls on it.

The simplest way to have shiny hair - deep conditions them.

Vitamin E is essential for your hair. Include brown rice, nuts, wheat germ and leafy green vegetables in your diet.

In a bowl mash avocado, one tbls of olive oil and a tsp of baking powder. Mix well and apply it on your hair. Rinse it after 15 minutes.

If you have got your pretty locks colored, use products for color treated hair. These products will prevent the color from discharging, and making it look lifeless and dull.

Natural oil can also make your hair look shiny. Just brush or comb your hair.

Using a hair dryer can eliminate the moisture from your hair. Pick on heat activated shampoos and conditioners to retain the moisture.
