Beach curls? they look awesome but mine always go wrong!

My hair straighteners are pretty wide so I don't know if its them that are making it harder to get right, plus I put gel in but it always makes it feel greasy and i hate having hair that feels greasy! any techniques or products that'd help?

I have found that if you take your hair while it is damp (let it air dry for a while but not too much so it's still damp) and then taking it in about three sections of your hair (like making a ponytail but three of them at the back of your head), take the hair like you would with a ponytail and twist it until it is all the way twisted, then coil that hair into a bun. Repeat with the other sections. The next morning You should take out the coils and then finger comb through the waves, I would suggest spraying them with something like Herbal Essences "Tousle Me Softly Hair Spray" becuase it is not heavy and it smells great! It may be a bit poofy at first but it will go down. I love my hair like this, hope I helped!
