Peekaboo Highlights or No?

I want to do peekaboo highlights because I get easily bored with my hair and peekaboos will do less damage and after I get bored with them, I can make them crazy colors. I was wondering if it would look good with my hair that is brown on top and black on bottom? [I want to wear curls to prom] See profile pic and one below. Thanks!

first coloring your hair in any way will damage it

how often you color or how strong the coloring is will determine how much damage you're doing

they now have lighteners to raise the colors that don't involve bleach they are less harsh but take longer to color your hair

black and white blonde are hard colors to get rid of

black is so close to dark brown that usually there isn't a bunch of difference just because they can blend well together

i have a friend that did blonde under her dark brown and it was cute

usually when i get highlights the lady uses that color lifter stuff but last time they did a 10% bleach mix and it turned out very nice and isn't as damaging as you may think

i have golden blonde highlights and i only got 5 foils in the top of my hair so the bottom is still my darker natural color

this was my hair a couple years ago you can see there's not much difference but still today you can slightly tell the under side is darker than my top layers
