Peer pressure.

I didn't wanna sign up for track and field in the first place but my friend persuaded me into signing up. But i don't like track and field at all!

Then, today was our first practice and I didn't want to go so i made up a really stupid story of my whole family coming to my house and I have to pick up my grandma at the airport. Now my gym teacher thinks im a quitter and a liar. But me and Destiny agree with each other that I don't have to go. And me and her made a plan that I wont go so they will eventually think I've quit. But Amber (The one who pressured me) keeps bugging me and calling me a quitter. She gets all mad at me and is all "Your such a quitter! You HAVE to go!" But I don't want to.

Hun, if you don't want to do it, don't do it! Don't let this Amber girl tell you what to do! And if she doesn't like it, sit down and tell her that you really dont enjoy track, if she still doesn't like it, well then shes not a very good friend. Your parents, family, and teachers should be the only ones who tell you what to do, the rest of them can just go suck an egg, you need to listen to them as much as fish need legs, not at all!

she just doesn't want to do it alone. that's not your fault *it is your fault you let peer perssure get to you*

but i would tell your track teach the situation. that you really aren't the track type of girl a friend talked you into doing it and you just don't think you'll be able to do it you have too many things going on in your crazy teen life and it would just add another stress but you're sorry for wasting they're time

if they're a good coach they'll understand and thank you for being honest

as for your friend you need to let her know you just don't feel it's you're thing and you're sorry she's going to have to do it alone but you'll try to come to all her events to root her on! lol

there's always a nice way to put things

there's no point in trying to do something that you don't like. this friend should understand that you don't enjoy track and field. let her know that you completely support her but it's not for you. the only person you owe any explanation to is the coach. as a grown up, the coach should understand and let you be.

if you hate the subject too much that you cant stand spending a term doing it i suggest that you quit and find another course. true your friend will hate you for that but within time she will understand. if she doesnt want to be alone you can always go and hang out with her during the track and field lessons.

i agree with undeadXprincess:thumbup:

if she wants to do track and field that much

she wouldn't mind doing it alone, would she

and if you don't want to

tell her to get stuffed!
