Lauren, if you want to do your your roots dear then by all means just do the roots with the same brand and color as before so your hair looks great again and updated. Remember that hair dye can sometimes be very very tricky as I once came out with Deep Purple and I don't mean the band which by the way my boyfriend and I listened to constantly while growing up:) You said the word FAILED honey so please keep this in mind and go to a stylist if you are flirting with a different color. Get the info from the salon on what they used on you hair for your future reference to do it yourself. It will cost you a few bucks but you will have what you want, you will be safe and in the future you can then do it yourself:) I hope this helped?

Lauren, I don't really know hon what your relationship is like with your Mum but I always found that by simply expressing yourself in a polite, strong but yet respectful way to my Mum alays seemed to help in my bad hair situations:) Please donot even think about letting anyone touch your hair unless he or she is a professional at a hair salon and explain this to your Mum. Donot by ant means get upset with her when she decides it is not for you but be disappointed and show respect and she may change her mind about the situation. I konw exactly what you are going through Lauren since of course I have already been there done that a long time ago:) I think by looking at your profile pictures that you are very pretty in either color and this compliment is well deserving:) You are the the only one that matters Lauren referring to your liking of your hair so choose what you think is best for you and you alone and try to get over that Mum obstacle gently as your Mum has feelings to and only wants what is best for you:) She loves you very much and will most likely give in if you approach this the right way. The catastrophe that happened before happened bacause of not going to a professional and as I said before, let them do it first, let your Mum know this, get the type and color that they use and tell Mum who will be a little frightened of costs of course that it is a time time deal and you will do it yourself once it is done once. I hoped I helped dear and let me know what happens or if you need more insight as I will always try to help:) lol, April PS: I was a blond for many years but found that I was much happier with my chestnut hair that I have now but that is just me. There are benefits of course to any color with the biggest being how you feel about yourself:) Have patience honey and everything will work out fine for you in this hair problem by which I know, believe me, is a very big thing at this point in your life.

Thing is, last time i dyed it, DI did it myself, well, my friends mum did and it didn't go to plan so I ended up with like.. Patchy places and different shades over my head -_- not pleased. And now I want to chamnge it alll but I'm afraid that having patchy bits and really dark roots will affect it? My mum won't let me dye it blonde again after this catastophe xD She says It looks like nicotine stains, and I don't smoke so it isn't a great look for first impressions. I want to dye it either a more natural blonde or dark chestnut or... red :3
Ideas? :') you are now my souce of information. ;)
