Need advice on this haircut please :D

I have long thick fine hair and I have about 2 layers near the bottom of my hair. I keep seeing people with hair so that it lays thicker on the top and thinner on the bottom. I tried to get it cut like that about 6 months ago but it doesn't look anything like it. Is it because my layers aren't really near the top of my head? I don't want my hair to be cut so that it looks like I have thin hair because I love having it thick. Is it worth getting it cut with shorter layers at the top? Will it work? Please help me. :D I wouldn't mind getting a hair cut seeing as it's been the same for a long time, lol, but the big question is whether it will be the way I wanted it too. I can't get my hair back once it is cut so I want to make sure. :D

most scene girls are that kind of cut. thick at the top and thinner at the bottom. the layers are the top help them tease their hai to make is "bigger" there hair is prolly razored cut. i think you should just keep your hair the way it is. if you like thick hair than why cut it. i think thick hair looks more healther

it's more like there are many thicker layers cut near a BOB region near your chin and a very thin layer of hair under it all that is left long.

it looks kind of like a mullet. i'm not really fond of it but to each their own right?
