About

why hello there!
my name is kathlyn, but i go by kaytee. i've been alive for nineteen years and i absolutely love goodwill! i try to find other thrift stores and such, but i live pretty close to two goodwills (i know, lucky me!) so i usually go there. in the past year i've become more comfortable in my own skin and i've started forming my own sense of style. it was during my first year of college that i truly started to become the person i want to be. i think fashion is amazing, although i still don't know much about it. i'm still learning. i'm still growing. i've got time. i'm a pretty quirky person, so being able to portray that in my outfits is an important part of my wardrobe choices. also, i have a goal; by the time i'm twenty-one, i want at least half of my wardrobe to be from second-hand stores or handmade by me. i do sew a bit. i don't really like following rules, so usually i find things from goodwill or other thrift stores and refashion them. thrift stores are perfect places to find crazy fabrics for cheap! i've made skirts from very large women's shirts. i've made shorts from a man's wacky hawaiian tee. and i've made different shirts from other shirts. it quite fabulous what a little handiwork can accomplish.

Gosh, it's got such great colors, you have a lot to work with. The white shirt would be great and you could dress it off with a colorful scarf that picks up the skirt colors, although maybe it would be too warm for that now. Two other ideas: if you want to be cool and casual, how about a pale blue tee, maybe with a cap sleeve to pick up the blue diamonds. If you want to be a little dressier, I think either a pale blue or lavender boyfriend shirt would look fabulous. And you could wear a dark blazer to dress it up or if you're cold. And what do you think about these lavender sandals from Lands End?

I love shopping at thrift shops and vintage clothing stores because you get great stuff at low prices.

Oh my goodness, thank you so much! You're amazing! And those sandals are adorable! Also, thrift stores are the best! I don't think enough people take advantage of them, but i'm glad you do! Again, thanks for the lovely suggestions, I know what I'll be looking for next time I go out shopping!

i think that this skirt is so phosphoric so i think if you wear a black t-shirt and put it into the skirt you'll look amazing and also you can put a manicure pink or fushia
