I\'m a shrink

Well it feels like it. All of my friends are turning to me with their problems and their problems really, um, well I worry about them and it's like they're my own problems. I don't know how to listen without like, getting invovled I should say? I don't know.. And I KNOW I can't go any longer with all of this and when I told my friends about this a lot of them got mad. It's too much. I've lost sleep and my appetite. What should I do?*, What should I do?*

Yeah, I'm like that too. I can't help but worry about my friends either! Your friends should be glad that they have a friend like you but sometimes you have to butt out and let your friends deal with their own problems...I had this one friend who thought that she was so ugly when really she wasn't. Me and my friends always told her that she was pretty and all but she still wouldn't let up. Finally, after a year or so she got over it. She stopped complaining about herself and everything.

So, sometimes a person just needs advice and needs to figure it out on their own. But if it's a serious thing and you think she's needs help....That's when she'll most need it.

there's not alot you can do but feel lucky that's all the problems you seem to have

it's great if you can learn to leave it and focus on other things and try to just be a shoulder to lean on. i have a few peeps at work that i help out from time to time, and i may think about it a bit after i go home. but then i try to focus on my own time and family and i still get a good nights sleep.

I believe you are taking your friends personal problems more personally. Meaning that you need to leave their problems or whatever they tell you at school... do not bring them home with you. I have my degree in psychology and pursuing my masters in it as well. So I know what you mean when you feel like you are everyone's 'shrink'. Try to tell yourself to know when certain problems are important and that may affect you personally.... those are important. the problems with your friends... well you can only do so much... they can not depend on you fixing just would not be fair to you. So just do your best on being a great friend but just leave it at that.
