I'm trying to learn to cut/dye my hair, preferably in a scene fashion. What's the best strategy?

I don't know when to do it, and if I should try on myself or a friend. I also don't want to go to school looking like a lion that got my head stuck in a food processor. :l

it's best to watch a few youtube vids. i have one in my lists under 'hair' called how i cut my bangs and that girl has awesome bangs and it's a good technique to cutting hair ( it's always better to texturize the ends like she does instead of just a blunt straight cut)

if you want to cut/dye your whole head, just go to a salon. cosmetology is an art, and takes months to master, and even then, nobody can do it perfectly.

it's hard to explain how to exactly cut a scene haircut.

i agree with the you tube videos, but still, have you cut anyone's hair before? your your own? if you haven't i would go to the hairdresser, it is just very risking doing it by yourself
