Yes. As long as you don't let PCOS completely attack your ovaries, you have a chance of getting pregnant. Many women (I think it's 1 in 10) have PCOS in their lifetime. It can be fixed by birth control or even surgery, if it's that severe.

But most women with PCOS, that DON'T let it develop, are completely okay to have a baby.

Yes, women with PCOS can and DO have children.

I will say though: PCOS (or poly cystic ovarian syndrome) is a condition caused by a homrone imbalance which is caused when the body is in excess of androgens (testosterone). It can cause excess body/facial hair, weight gain with an inability to lose weight, male pattern baldness and infertility symptoms which are usually a lack of period or very long cycles.

I also have pcos. No, im not over weight but I do have all of the other symptoms. My mother also had it and is is thought to be hereditary.

The reason its called poly cystic ovarian syndrome is because when women go for scan to check the ovaries they often are covered in cysts where the ovaries have tried to release eggs but have been unsuccessfuly (for a multitude of reasons).

If it is you wish to have children and you suffer from this you may need fertility treatments
