I dyed my hair last night to a dark brown/light black. My friend took WAY too long dying my hair at first so my bottom hair is way too black for my liking, but the top of my hair is the perfect shade. I have done many at home things to try and get out some of the dye (leaving prell shampoo in my hair and washing it out, tide and shampoo, dish soap, dandruff shampoo, etc.) and I see dye coming out every time, but it is only changing the top of my hair. The top is now a perfect shade, but the underneath is still a DARK black. What can I do to lighten up the bottom hairs??
Not sure if you can really tell in the picture but if you look close you can see how dark the bottom is.
