22 Apr 2009 with a paper? lame...i know

alright. so i need to come up with a thesis about modern poetry or prose writers (we're talking T.S. Elliot, Hardy, Hopkins, Auden...WWI authors are big too). I can't come up with a thesis...i have no clue what to write about...if i dont do i regular paper, then i can do a creative paper. but it's the end of the semester in 3 days and i just cant think about anything but summer. help? the only thing i can think of creative wise is writing either like a journal of a WWI soldier and work in line from poems. or create letters from a soldier to his love and her write back to him. a short story or narrative about a soldier looking down from heaven on the world and his love...still incorporating lines of poetry.

any ideas guys?

i think your soldier idea is a good story, so why dont combine that but instead use real existing war poems. his love may reply in either already existing poems or you can create new ones. or else chose a particular period of time and write about poets and prose writers from that time. search in both the internet and books because you get higher grades if you do so.

you can do the last one and he can see her moving on and finding new love and you can add in not just love poems but fear a bit of anger then some acceptance

The creative paper seems more exciting, and your ideas are really great:thumbup: try to complete them with the poems if you understand the message of those lines, it will be easier to put yourself in the place of these poets....i also studied them, find your melancholic side and immerse in the tragedy of war..good luck, anyway you'll have great ideas, it will work anyways...hope i could help, wish you all the best:D
