it's genetic I think. but those girls that have wider hips will more easily give birth to a child.

it has nothing to do with fat-hips are BONES, not fat-one of my friends has really tiny hips and she isn't thin at al, but you can clearly see that her hips are small. another girl is really thin and has HUGE hips, and that looks.. awful.

Like Lexi123lexi123 wrote, it's a part of your pubertal process, because your hips are getting ready to take pregnancy so the baby can kinda fit in lol..... So ALL of the girls will see that their hips are wider, but sooner or later, and someone has wide hips genetically so their hips will get even more wide in puberty...... That's all I know... :)

lol it does depend on your genes.

i have hips and a big butt the butt is fat the hips are all because of my bones

some people have fat hips and some it's just because the bones spread for child birth as you get older. some ladies this doesn't seem to happen and sometimes it's harder for those ladies to have babies normally

there's not much you can do about hips either if it's bones your up a creek w/o a paddle. if it's fat it's one of the hardest areas to loose weight but it can be done

everyones body stores fat differently

usually in females, weight loss and weight gain happens first of all at the core of your body. this means that for some girls who want to lose weight, the first thing to go will be their chest, unless they already have very little. why? because your bodys main goal is to protect the vital organs, such as the heart.

common places for fat to be stored includes the thighs, the lower stomach, and the chest, on women.

everyone is different! any fat on my body gets stored in my thighs just below my butt, not my stomach... so while most people usually have their fat stored around their stomach first, and THEN their legs (which is why you see lots of girls who don't have a flat stomach but have amazing legs) but im backwards, i have an amazing, toned stomach and thicker legs

i have very small hips... theres really no point in me hipchecking anyone because theres nothing to hipcheck with!
