I'm 15 years old. I like techno, screamo, and '80s metal. I guess people would call me scene but I'm not much into labels. I have like 1946954769 different things wrong with me but I like it that way. I live in Nebraska currently, but my family wants to move to the West Coast. I need acoustic/indie songs and dance songs...

I need songs that are good for slow dancing as well as fast dance songs. It's for a graduation party. There will be Christians though, so it has to be clean like no talking about drinking or drugs, no talking about sex, no cussing, you get the idea...I'll fave user anyone who helps.

here are some ideas, hope they are kind of like what you wanted. (I am also pretty sure that they meet the standards too because I listen to them and I really only like "clean" songs)

Well one group you definately need to check out is the scene aesthetic, all of their songs are good but one of their bests is "the alamo is no place for dancing"

kina grannis is also really good she does her own original songs and covers as well.

Hana pestle's "need" is really good as well.

Chase Coy is really good as well, he is acoustic/indie and he has some songs that will be really good for slow dancing.

These were just off the top of my head and songs I already knew of. I will look some more for songs for you, especially the fast dance songs. Hope that they help :)

oh another way you could find songs is go to pandora.com its a website where you could actually create your own radio station. All you do is put in a artist or song and it will create its own playlist with other songs with the same type of aspects of the song that you like. I find alot of new artists and songs that way. (oh and it is free :) )

okay I listen to a lot of indie so I'll recomend some stuff.

Tokyo Police Club -Good indie band pretty clean.

Death Cab for Cutie -nice melody, soft to listen too.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - indie

Cansei de ser sexy - some of their songs have swearing but they do have clean songs. good for dancing.

Artic Monkeys - good indie to dance but they have some slower songs. try "I bet you look good on the dance floor"

"teddy picker" and "fake tales of san francisco"

The Kills - catchy upbeat perfect for dancing.

Metric - upbeat good for dancing try "empty" "monster hospital" "combat baby" "succexy" and "love is a place"

KLAXONS! -Perfect dance stuff try Magyk, gravity's rainbow and from atlantis to interzone.

The Maccabees - toothpaste kisses is a really nice soft song too. Hope I helped

btw check out my music libary at http://www.last.fm/user/canuckx/library#p1 to view all the songs and bands I listen too. Not all of them are ideal for your party like don't go with System of a down or billy talent :p

but I do have some indie on there that should help ya. I would recomend getting a last.fm profile you can add artists and songs that you like and it recomends you new music based on your taste it's also free.
