Write what you know. Did you have a nasty breakup? Write about it. Spill your guts, and then go back and edit it into a song or a poem. If you don't hold back and let all of the ideas spill out onto the page, you might be surprised as to what you can come up with. This really helps me a lot when I write my songs. :)

I've onyl written two songs. One about a fight between a friend and me. And the other about what my best friend was going through. My mom's co-worker's daughter writes songs and she gets inspiration from her own life and other peopls life and mixes them. Like makes up the emotions. Kinda. Sorry if that's..confusing .-.

I love writing songs, and usually the words just come to me at the time, but I have to be in the write mood for it. Check out this website, it guides you through and gives you some really helpful pointers.

what i write depends on what mood im in

sumtimes if im sad, i'll pour my feelings out & make it into a song

same with when im happy

U gotta really feel it and know it to make it believable and real. The feeling of the lyrics is more important than rhyme and rhythm. Spill it when u feel it. U can always edit it for rhyme and rhythm wenever if so needed, but usually its better left as is i think

I love writing poems. I have sent a book or poems to my teacher for her to print out for my school. The best is to find out what you want to write about. then get into the vibe of your poem. You have to get into the writing...
