What color lowlights should I get...?

Currently my hair is to my chest and light brown with some old caramel colored highlights that have grown out. I am just so tired of it being light. I'm going to Ross the Boss this Monday and am going to ask for a full lowlight, but am not sure what color to go for! I know I want my hair to appear darker so I was thinking an expresso? Or maybe even an auburn because I want some red in my hair too? What do you think?

I've included a picture of what my hair looks like now.

I think Auburn would be nice on you, something red ish or brown would be good, maybe a some purple colour too x

expresso would look bold yet slightly suttle i like it. i usually opt for caramel too. i will say auburn is prob best because spring will be coming and you may want something lighter rather than darker but remember red tones and shades fade faster than any other color then youre left with a brown shade.

last time i got the beatuiful red/burgandy shade put into my brown hair and i was very dissapointed that it blended too well . i would say if you have dark hair deep red is not a way to go (it's a low light if you do a light auburn it's a highlight)

and if you look in my lists under 'stuff i use' there is a brunette rinse that will slowly add darker color to your hair you only have to use it a few times a week to maintain the color or if you get tired of it just stop using it and your natural color will come back.
