yep, a lot of ppl have the same problem. i think you should just keep moisturizing chapstick on every time you feel your lips are really dry. and it'll stop. but ppl lick their lips a lot.

Buy Blistex intense repair cream i think its called, or any lip cream, put it on before you go to sleep every night (even a moisturiser will do).. this should solve the problem :D xxx

VASELINE... It acts as clear gloss AND a lipbalm and you can slap a LOAD on overnight when you are not likely to lick your lips as much... It makes eyelashes look longer too... It works for me... OH- you should put it on thick overnight and round your mouth a little to prevent the skin ther from drying out too... :)

in cold weather try to avoid licking your lips as when you lick them the cold hits them straight away and then your lips just go all dry and chapped. :/

-use lip balms with cocoa butter and/or beeswax. examine lip balms ingredients very carefully as some components of 'medicated' lip balms can actually act as irritants,

-avoid caffeine and alcohol which are major tissue dehydrators,

-drink more than the recommended 8 glasses of water a day (experts recommend 100 ounces more per day for chapped lips), preferably heated. sipping hot water or decaffeinated tea slowly, throughout the day, dilates the circulatory system and will increase moisture to the tissues. :]

vasoline

it's not very yummy

you don't have to use alot

and you can mix it up with some of your fav eyeshadow color (just a lil powder not alot, it goes a long way) will give your lips a color and protection

i have a problem with licking my lips to. i know when i had an allergy attack and my lips were constantly inflamed, vasoline was the only help. i keep a travel size vasoline in my pruse at all times. barbipixi is right it doesn't taste good, so that may slow down the licking. put it on all day long, while you won't get the super glossy look, it will protect your lips. You can also use it as a base under your cute gloss.
