best tool for curls

I have an evening event and want to wear my hair in curls, but i have an issue with their staying power. esp seeing that I will do my hair a few hour prior to the event.

I have a GHD and it makes good curls but it doesn't last.

Should I use a stronger hairspray (suggest brands please)

Should I use rollers instead?

Thank you

I suggest using a smoothing serum and yes a strong hairspray is always good also teasing/backcombing can help just about anything stay in place. If you have a local sallys beauty supply store they tend to sale generic products of Paul Mitchell that are awesome the "Extra Body Firm Finishing Hairspray" is undeniably great and you dont have to use a ton of it. When you have your strand of hair back comb it use a very small pea sized if not smaller amount of smoothing serum glide it on the strand then curl your hair let the curl loose and then hair spray it :)

Use a hairspray! It makes a world difference. And brand matters of course. You can try l'oreal elnett satin hairspray (strong hold). It doesn't make your hair stiff or hard, it doesn't smell bad and it actually makes your hair look healthy and shiny!
