Help me please.!!

I've recently discovered that i have hyperthyroidism. Thyroid problems run in my family, but it has never occured to me that i could have it.. since i have always been extremely healthy.

The symptoms to hyperthyroidsm that i have show greatly. My normally bouncy, shiny hair has become dull and brittle.... and my well taken care of nails have become weak and have chipped almost all the way off...

Prom is next month, and the medicine for my problem wont be kicked in by them, i can always put fake nails on.. but what am i supposed to do with my hair?!

Not only has it become brittle, but it's all falling out too.

is there any at-home-remedies or hair masks that i can do to get the shine back to my hair? That's the only thing want. It my shine back for prom.

i wouldn't have not one issue about getting a cute wig that looks the color of your hair and finding a way to fasten it (wig glue even) so it wouldn't fall off while at school or dancing

Your over active thyroid is consuming the nutrition supply to your hair and nails first, so you simply have to replace it from the outside

Condition your hair with things rich in healthy fatty acids such as olive oil, which recognized around the world as the best thing for skin (which everyone's hair is dying skin cells manifested into hair follicles) its rich in vitamins E, and A and gives your hair back a brilliant shine. but do rinse it out to avoid a greasy build up.

Egg, its natures shampoo and lathers just like it, plus its rich in protein and will help give your hair its elasticity and control the brittle breakage. Rinse out as well

Mayonaise, I know it sounds ikky, but the fats in the emoliation of mayo give yrou hair luster and strength, just rub in and rinse, add a bit of lemon if you want to avoid the smell

Avocado, its a fatty fruit but has a crazy amount of good fat and protein to do the same as the olive oil and egg

Most importantly your diet, you can fix the outside but the inside is more important, try substantially increasing the protein in your diet to revive your hair.

conditon your hair over noght atleast once a week or as much as possible. all you need is conditioner and a shower cap.

1: shampoo hair and rinse

2: dry excess water with towel

3: put tons of conditioner in your hair

4: cover with shower cap and go to sleep =)

You can also do it during the day when your out of school. Whatever is best for you. Try not to blow dry much either that really dries hair.
