Okay... so I have like forever hated running. I'm supposed to get into shape and run a 7:50 mile for fall sports... but I dread every time to run. It takes the fun out of the sport. I dread the pain in my legs... and my lungs... and ugh. Any tips? If I could learn to love, or even like, or even just tolerate running, it would make everything so much easier. Thanks :)

The pain is from lactic acid there's nothing much that can be done to get it, the body naturally makes it, when running or doing strenuous exercise especially .
You could try running with a music player, but from what I've heard running is meant to be a mental things. You need to focus your mind more than anything in order to get through it.
Stabilizing your breathing may help with lung pains.

Hopefully someone more versed at running and sports will respond D:
