What can I do to not have such oily skin?

Okay, so, I have very oily skin. I'll wash my face in the morning but later that day, my forehead is all shiny and oily. I've been looking for a face lotion to use so that my skin isn't so oily and that won't make me break out. Any ideas on what I can do or what products really work, please post them! Thank u and Merry Christmas! :)

Sometimes getting rid of the oil just makes your skin produce more oil, unfortunately. So, don't use products that are really harsh (like with alcohol). You can use a product with salicylic acid, like a cleanser or something to prevent pimples, but benzoyl peroxide products might be too harsh.

I like to blot my face with a tissue or a piece of toilet paper (cheap alternatives to blotting papers lol) throughout the day.

Oh and if you don't drink plenty of water, try drinking a bit more water on a regular basis. When your skin is properly hydrated, it won't need to produce so much oil.

Hope this helps. :)

Skin care products that work best with oily skin include:

Clarifying Facial Wash
Clarifying Moisture Balance
wash your face no more that 2 x a day, anymore will cause irritation and extra oiliies! A cleanser that is oil-free is best, and one with no frgrance, a good one to try is
Free &Clear liquid cleanser, look for it online.

wash with your finger tips only, scrubbing can actually cause breakouts on some people.
during the middle of the day, use oil blotting papers to absorb the oil until you wash your face at night.if your THAT oily, skip the moisturizers, they'll just clog your pores, despite what people say! IF you have any 'dry' spots use the lightest shearest oil-free moisturizer you can find and use it only there.

Milk of Magnesia makes a good oil absorbing mask! the plain kind. look for a light sunblock, try different ones, an SPF of 15 at least. use that instead of moisturizer! why add extra grase on grease?
Wash your face with morning and night (only)
use oil absorbing sheets during the day.( I use several a day)
Skip creams (except on dry patches, if needed)
Use spf 15 sunblock when needed.(they all feel a bit greasy)
no scrubbing or too many washings (trust me there)
Try the MOM mask a few times a week.
Free &Clear is less than $8 bucks for an 8 oz bottle
it lasts over a month for me.
oh by the way, Bar Soap can really clog your pores, it contains animal fat! Free & Clear contains Glycerin.
if you have oily skin like mine, you can't change that, but you can control it to an extent. keep it simple and gentle.
P.S. most moisturizers contain the same things as the skins natural sebum, like Cholesterol, tryglycerides, fatty acids and oils

Velocity, a Mary Kay product, is a wonderful face wash, ecspecially with the mask, and it'll dry your face up fast! And then add some of their mostirizer to even it out!

But to let you know, having oily skin young, usually means you will have less wrinkly face when you are older!
