What should I do to update my hairstyle?

My hair is layered and just above my shoulders at it's longest point. I am planning on growing it out, but I want to get a haircut to update it and change the look without losing much length. I'm open to bangs, etc. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v600/lissapup/Newhaircut-Copy.jpg this was my last haircut).

I'm also looking for ideas for a new haircolor. I try to avoid blonde simply because it's a difficult color for at-home dying jobs. I do, however, love red hair. Here is another picture of my current hairstyle, And another one. They were all taken around the same time... just from slightly different angles.

You could just trim your hair since your just growing it out now, but you could also try to find pictures for new styles also. Red sounds like a good idea, you could also dye it brown or a different unnatural haircolor if you feeling like being on the wild side lol.

Hopefully this would help. If you want anymore suggestions you can hit me up. :)

You could also get a long bob haircut, with a burgundy dyejob, or a two-tone color job of any color combination. :)
