Could I make this request to my stylist re: Asymmetrical Bob?

Since September, I have been looking at the Rihanna asymmetrical bob, but I have been afraid of such a dramatic style.

I was wondering if I could request that both sides be cut evenly (so they resemble the longer side) and then get the one side cut shorter if I want to. I already have a slightly grown out angled bob, so I know I want to stick with the shorter back/longer front thing. I'm just not sure about the different length for the sides.

With my current bangs, I'll probably cut them so they are more of a full/thick side-swept seems to be the most flattering as far as bangs go for me.

Would I be able to make that request to a stylist?

usually they wash and dry your hair first anyway so she'll just cut it even and you can look at it. it won't take but a few more mins to make the one side shorter

you can tuck one side behind your ear and try bringing some of the hair from the area a lil further back (just brush some of that foward) over toward the front so you can get a better idea what it'll look like

oh yes, she will be able to tell you exactly how it would look on you and if it would be a good idea. always feel free to ask stylists what they can do and how it would look cuz thats what they go to school for. i think it would look good for sure though

the shorter back/front thing is called an inverted bob. where the back is short and the front is longer, rhiannas is asymetric but you can get it just like an inverted bob first, however thick fringes with inverts are difficult cause of the style, but your stylist will help you the most :) x
