LOL i've been shaving my arms since jr high and the hair has NEVER grown back thicker or darker

i usually shave them about once a month so they do grow back out cause i'm lazy and i'm not going to do it every day.

and shaving actually exfoliates your skin so it helps remove rough dead skin. my mom has started running a razor over her face because she heard that's y guys have such soft skin cause they shave all the time and it exfoliates it : P

don't believe everything you hear. my friend in highschool had arms that looked like monkey arms and OMG i would rather shave and keep it smooth than have monkey arms!!!!

and OMG i let my sister try waxing a small area on my leg OMG the worse pain EVER

i have thick german/chez hair it's dark and healty and likes to stay rooted. (my arm hair is ALOT lighter than my legs it's blonde and my leg hair is dark) so that should shoot down the idea that it will come in darker for that too

but anyway if you have thin hair waxing won't hurt as much but if you're of a darker nationality it can be pretty painful

IF you really hate it than go ahead and shave themm.. a lot of people girls shave them, so its not weird

It does not come back thicker...shaving does not interfer with the hair follicles. it may appear thicker because you shaved it versus waxing it. shaving will create a blunt cut on the hair so when it grows back it looks thicker. Waxing will remove the hair directly from the root so when it does grow back it will be thinner. Hair or no hair ....i do not believe either is weird.

If you feel really self conscious about hair on your arms you can try using a hair removal product like Nair or Veet. They usually last about a week longer than regular shaving. Waxing has the most effect on removing hair and keeping it gone longer, but its more painful.

As for shaving and it coming back in thicker, that sometimes works. Not everyone has hair like that so if you shave your legs and notice it does that then it probably will do that on your arms. Waxing and Nair/Veet won't make it grow back in thicker though since it removes the hair follicle completely.

i have hairy arms to but, just dont worry aout them.....they arent as bad as you think really, i wouldn't shave them because it is just pointless

yeah i agree, its not all that bad...and yes it does come in thicker with some people.

the thing about that though, majority of the people around you notice. Def. not cool to be called out, but like i said it can get thicker, so it could get worse.

Good luck,

hairy arms arent as bad as you think....shaving doesnt make your hair come back thicker and darker thats a myth. but it does make your skin less tender and smooth like its supposed to be. id either keep it and get used to it or look into waxing either professional or store bought-that way if you decide you dont mind the hair so much one day there will be no permanent damage

Hiya! Do not worrý about your arms, and do not shave. I have really hairy arms myself, almost like a coat of hair on my forearms lol. I guess I am used to it now and its not really a big deal for me.
