i have waxed my legs by myself and even though people say that it is very painful i dont think it was,it took about 3 weeks to start growing back, the hair grows back the same as if you were to shave...y do you want to wax your arms?

waxing will pull the hair out at the follicle

so it'll start as a point rather than a flat edge

(i shave my arms about once a month) and i have been since jr high

for people with thicker healthy hair it can be more painful because the hair is deep and strong. but arm hair usually isn't as deep so it'll hurt but not as much as doing your legs.

i would say it can't hurt to try right? worse comes to worse you'll just go back to shaving. i just shaved mine today and they feel so nice ^_^ also using baby oil on your skin before you shave (legs too) will give you a closer cut but it'll go through some razors (that's y i use disposable) i get the next to the cheapest brand from walmart and toss them away at least every other use.

also have you tried using something like Nair?

you put the cream on leave it for a few mins then wash it off with a wash cloth.

it's similar to waxing, can last a while too, if you have sensitive skin it could irritate it but there are ones for sensitive skin.

it always worked on my arms but i had to leave it on forever to do my legs and i never got a rash or anything

it wont grow back prickly just like normal, and it wont grow back faster but actually shorter cuz it will rip out more than shaving can take off. you can try it but its hard and messy but makes your skin very smooth. dont use creams though its not a good idea especially something like your arms where everyone can always see them

Do not shave. Never. You'll end up having ugly bumps in that area. Trust me. I do wax. It's really painful. But wax is the only natural way to get rid of unwanted hair. Do not go for any chemical cream (which is really harmful) or shaving or laser. And it depends on your hair growth you know. I need to wax twice a month.

hey why not try trimming ur arm hair thats what i do. i try and keep it to 4 to 3mm. it is natural for women to have some arm hair but i cant see wax being a problem. waxing does hurt tho i had my chest done for a laugh and it was not funny, well it was for some people, lol

I usually get my areas waxed professionally. I have noticed the areas also growing less and less hair...and the hair is actually becoming thinner. When you wax the hair grows back finer and not prickly like when you shave. I prefer waxing all together...it is easier and the results last so much longer and your skin just feels smoother. Waxing certain areas can be painful....but if you are waxing your arms, I doubt it would be painful. I get a brazilian done every other month and THAT is painful.....at least for me it is.

I use nair on my arms... because I also have hairy gorilla arms that guys make fun of. =/ I use nair because it doesn't hurt.[: But I haven't gotten anything waxed besides eyebrows.... but I usually get them rewaxed before they start growing back. But I'd say you should just try it. The worst that would happen is it hurting. Lol[:

Because I have hairy gorilla arms that boys make fun of. =( Cus Shaving them makes it grow back prickly and within a few days. Does waxing grow back prickly or like actual hair grows, like starting at a point instead of chopped off like shaving?

Thats what I used. I've never shaved them before and I really don't want to. The nair made my arms sensitive to certain materials for a couple days and the hair started growing back the next day all flat like I shaved it.
