Icky scar on my neck... looks like a hickey.

Ok so I got shingles about 3 months ago and it healed up and made a faded scar that is dark around the rim and really light in the middle. I went to the dermatologist for these discoloration spots on my side and she gave me this scar stuff to remove it and I put it on every day but now its getting bright red and crusty, like she said it would. But now it's just sooo embarrassing because I'm not a slut but the scar is making me look like one and it's right on my neck and its just insane. lol. So I put on mary kay concealer every day but it doesn't do a very good job. Any concealers that work REALLY well and are in my budget? (around $10 or less) This is what it looks like! lol, Ok nobody is answering... I think it's because my post is so long. Ok short version: what is good concealer that can conceal something thats bright red?

truthfully i'd try using the AMBI skin lightening cream. for normal skin. i bought some from walmart you use it twice a day on just the area and it starts to work after only a few day's and it's very gradual so it's not like you'll end up with bleached white skin!

i had some acid spots on my tummy from taking my birthcontrol (i didn't know that was one of the side effects lol) and they dissapeard like magic!

Maybe look for a concealer that had a greenish shade to it... this helps counter act the red. Look at the Physicians Formula, I believe they make a green concealer... then you can use powder or foundation over it. Yea once I had this huge bug bit on my neck and I scratched it like crazy without thinking. It looked like a major hickey too... eh.. oh well.

Really? Because it's whitish in the middle so would that make it whiter?
