My highlights are too light- can I use a semi permanent color to darken them?

the only beauty supply store near me has brands that I'm not familiar with (I've used a toner when this has happened b/f with good results) but was wondering if a darker blonde semi perm. haircolor would also work. also- i'm in the sun and ocean water a lot so my hair is pretty dry to begin with. thx!

i would go to walmart and get a color rince

there is a brunette one in my lists under 'stuff i use' that worked well for me

you use it in the shower after you condition and leave it on for a few mins then rince if off.

highlights are like bleach-its not color exactly just taking color out of your hair in different shades. so when you color the highlights you will be coloring hair that has already been bleached and has no color. so you are gonna need to condition it a lot before and after \for it to color ok.

i would rather go for a light brown coloring shampoo, or this semi permanent stuff you're talking about. if you'll try blonde, you'll just make your hair even more dry and maybe won't work at all. just don't let the brown shampoo on for to long and it should work
