why am i always tired?

i get around 8 hours sleep a night but when i wake up in the mornings im still really tired and cant wake up, then im tired all throughout the day too. also at night even if i am tried i cant get to sleep once i go to bed. can anyone tell me why im always really tired and cant get to sleep at night??

Have you had a thyroid check? Anything around depression/anxiety? Chronic pain? Nightmares? Sleep apnea?



I've had similar problems for MANY years; these were some of the things I've done. Turns out I've had combinations of different things. try a chamomile, or "Tension Tamer" tea just before bed; EASY on sweetener. Mild exercise an hour before bed. Get into a "sleep preparation routine" and try to go to bed around the same time. I never listen to music; I found some kind of non-screaming talk radio lulled me better (NPR works great for me!).

improper diet, not enough vitamins, stress, need more exercise?



all those things can cause you to be tired more often cause your body isn't getting enough stuff to get it going

Maybe you should trying doing some exercises or just a nice walk during the day. Or find an active hobby you can do to help jump start your energy level and to help burn off extra energy. The reason you are feeling tired and sluggish is that you are not doing any activies during day that is why you have trouble sleeping at night. You are not using up enough of your energy to feel tired at night. Then in the morning because you did not sleep well you feel sluggish in the morning. I feel the same way do you during the holidays when I become lazy.. waking up kinda tired and sluggish during the day and a hard time falling asleep at night.

i had that too, then my grandma told me when i wake up before i eat in the morning i should drink cold water, then eat orange, lemon or grapefruit. at least one slice a day =] it worked awesomely.

i hv that too when u wake up take lots of vitamine like i ones did was bite in a sour lime urghhh that was ver gud and keps me awake hehehe.

i only hv 6 hours at times hahaha

i heard u must get like 10 hours of full and gud sleep but who does that??

hehe

u cn aso trink orange juce in the moring and wash ur face with cold water.

do some exersise like streach and stuff.

so u hv lots of nergie!
