For all of the Painting Experts Out There....

My boyfriend and I are in the process of painting our bedroom and I have the duties of painting the trim....we taped the walls, but how do I go about painting the trim when it's right on the carpet? I don't want to get paint on the carpet....do I tape the carpet too? I have no idea?

cover the carpet with a large sheet of plastic, which you probably find in all the paint stores

Make sure that you taped the trim with Frog tape... if you use regular tape it will bleed through or when you remove it it will remove paint as well.

To protect your carpet just use like a painters tarp.. you can tape it up against your walls and not have to worry about any splatters. HAve tun!

i find it works well (it does take a min but it will either way) use a thin cutting board to press down on the carpet, then tape the plastic right along the inside edge of the carpet next to the wall

i did a co-op thing for school and we painted rooms and they just put tape on the edges where the carpet met the base boards it worked fine
