to all 12, 13, 14, and 15 year olds....

I am just trying to understand something; i feel so out of the younger culture growing up its different than it used to be (even though its going to be i know). But I noticed 12-15 year olds go out and date and have bfs. What do you do if you cant drive esp if your date cant either? do you go out anywhere? And what age do most girls start dating and have their first kiss? Just wondering, everyone is welcome to respond-please do!

i had my first kiss at 13. it was just a smack but it was still a kiss. ^_^ and about the ride, i wouldn't worry so much about it. i'd even prefer walking. the ride shouldn't matter coz it's just a way of transportation, what's important is how you spend your time during your date.......good luck hope i helped! ^_^

We can't drive until we're 18 so you get your parents to drop you off some where and meet up, or bus.. well thats what most of the girls do :)

well i haven't been on a date, had a bf, or been kissed before and i'm 11, but i really don't want to write now for many reasons. first, i am a little young and don't need to be worrying about boys now, i have better things to do, and sadly, all the boys in my grade/age are obnoxious, rude and not cute, although the last one doesn't nessecarily matter, it's a plus. but when i go out with my friends or see other people go out, we usually get our parents to drive us or walk. i feel the same way too, because i know when i have kids or when i'm in my 20's-30's we'll seem so uncool. two kids in my class kissed in the garden and it was like this BIG deal. all the girls were flirting with the dudes afterwards. the girl moved to Conetticut and started crying.. which I thought was really funny, ^.^ rumor has it they're keeping a 'long-distance relationship'. all the girls were saying how 'happy' they were for the other girl and bla bla bla it was really disgusting. but i guess i'm just not a hopeless romantic like all 6th grade girls are. oh well. :( xoxo

okay well im 14. When you have a boyfriend you just hangout, go to the mall, movies, chill with other people... You usually get your parents to take you. Some people my age allready had sex. Crazy i know. Shes about to turn 15 and she straight out told me we had sex about a month ago. And its not just her. Because people are going out younger and younger they think they are inlove so they do it, Its crazy. i kissed a girl never madeout with one yet. like im the kind of girl to talk it slow. i dont rush into things .. I think being a teen today is hard and in the future its only get harder.

i had my first kiss at age 12 but in my defense he kissed me! lol but ive been going to private school my whole life and people dont date until theyre like 13 or 14, and they dont kiss anyone till theyre like 14 but my friends who go to public schools start dating when theyre like 11! and they kiss at that age too! but people just usually have theyre parents drive them or older sibling and they go to the movie theater or mall.

it's getting younger because information is becomming easier for younger people to learn things and some parents just don't have the same standards their parents had back in the day

i'm sorry but i would love for my daughter to know you don't need a bf to be special or important or to keep up with everyone else. it's so much better if you can get through most of jr high w/o having to worry about your bf cheating on you. that's not something a kid should have to deal with.

i didn't have a date till i was 17 and it wasn't because i wasn't allowed cause my mom never said i couldn't. and it was so much easier to get my life straight w/o worring about anyone else but me for that time

Well it's not so much that we actually go out on dates as much as "go out" It's jst a slang term for having a 'thing' for each other. You know? It's not until you're kind of 'serious' until you go out on dates. I had my first kiss around 12. It's just for fun. I mean it's not like I'm going to marry the guy someday.

I'm 15 and a freshman in high school. My first actual boyfriend was when I was 11 in 5th grade but you don't really go out anywhere you kinda just see each other at school. I had my first kiss in 4th grade though. I had multiple boyfriends throughout middle school. In 6th grade you do alot of "group dates" like meeting at the movies/mall or just hanging out at someones house. In 7th and 8th you go to see movies alot and you usually meet there because its kind of weird to have one parent drive the both of you OR you hang out at each others houses. In high school freshman year (still not driving) me and my boyfriend just hang out at each others houses alot...we like to walk to places like parks or little cafes to eat and we meet at the movies alot and/or the mall and just walk around there. Admittedly, it will be so much easier to date when i can drive and I can't wait! But yes, many young girls have boyfriends, kiss guys and go on dates. I'd be happy to answer any more questions you have if you wanna PM or comment on my page (: Hope my answer was helpful!

Btw, by "group dates" I meant multiple couples and even some single people hanging out together for the point of it being a date when your not quite old enough for that concept.

Oh! Sorry one more thing, and I remember iin middle school the thing was to go swimming with your boyfriend/girlfriend. And attend parties together (that more in 7th and 8th grade). Now as a freshman my boyfriend and swim sometimes (or at least we did during the summer) and we attend parties as a couple (tomorrow new years eve we're doing just that!) and we do that other stuff I mentioned in my first answer.

i'm 15, and i really don't date that often, haha.
anyways, i had my first kiss when i was 14.
i usually date 1-2 years older, so usually my dates have cars, so being picked up isn't ever really a problem. and i definitely don't just go out anywhere, because my parents keep tabs on me. i think that maybe my situation is a little different because i work and everything, so i know a lot of older people, but girls my age usually get their parents to take them or something, lol. i think that around 13 is when i started getting interested in dating, but now that i'm 15, i really don't bother with it too much. i've got too much on my hands right now (:

Well school is a big way to keep contact. Even if holding hands or kissing is outlawed in school, people still do it and it's not a biggie to the teachers... they've seen it so many times it's natural to them.
My parents are ok with me dating, as long as I tell them what I do. It's not like anyone goes on dates. People see each other after school at football games and wrestling and the gus go to our volleyball games, and basically couples spend all their free time with each other. There's no peer pressure in that area at all either. It's just something we like to do, in case you were wondering why date so young.
I'm twelve, first got asked out in sixth grade. Nothing much happens until middle school/high school though because of the lack of contact in elementary.
I haven't gotten my first kiss yet but I've had three boyfriends and it hurts every time. Same with everyone. No one knows why we do it. Just is, I guess.
You shouldn't feel disconnected from the younger culture. I know a lot of adults live through their children, if that makes sense at all. The world's a medley of ages and we all live together on the same planet; plenty of people of differing ages.
People hang out at each other's houses a lot if they've been dating a lot. I live in a reeeaaally small town; it's not like there's actually anwhere else to go even if you could drive.
:)

I think its kind of sad how young people have sex now. I know a girl in my school who lost her v card in 6th grade to a 16 year old! Its really sad stuff. I'm perfectly fine sticking to kissing. But that shouldn't even matter in a relationship. It should be when the couple is ready.

I'm 14 and I just got a boyfriend for the first time. We've both liked each other for 3years but wer both dorks so we didnt start dating until now. Most couples in my school only see each other in school and they make out all the time in the halls. They also say I love you, like, the second day that they are dating. I've been dating my boyfriend for almost 4weeks and we haven't kissed yet and we haven't said I love you yet, because love isn't something to be messed with. We have even discussed it. We are going slow, like relationships should. I believe our relationship will last, and he does too! He's my first boyfriend but he's absolutely amazing <3
