Hairstyles For Overweight Women

As you can see in the picture, my hair desperately needs restyled. I live in Florida where it gets really hot and humid, plus at my age I'm prone to sudden sweat attacks on the back of my head. So I need to either have it long enough to pull it up into a ponytail or short enough to be off of my neck. I'm also not very good at working with my hair and anything more complicated than a hair dryer or curling iron isn't going to happen.

My hair is basically straight with a few waves randomly scattered here and there. It is a bit on the thin side of normal. I use salon-quality shampoo and conditioner every day, plus an extra conditioning once a week so the condition is pretty good, even though it's been colored and gets blow-dried every day.

Got any advice for a decent low-maintenance hair style that will help me stay cool?

I like your hair style now. It is soft , feminine and sophisticated. I think you can possibly trim it up a little but because your hair is a little on the thinner side... keeping it short will help keep your volume. But otherwise I like suits you. Enjoy your Florida weather!

go to a hairdresser and ask them. they will be able to see your hair and know what they can do. if you cant pull it up and need it out of your face and off yoru neck you will need to trim it up a bit and thats not a bad thing. a contemporary bob works for almost anyone and is very stylish

My mother has hair similar to yours,

she had a long bob, and now has gone to a sleek a semetric cut, check it out here :

in the picture it had been a VERY hot day, i mean like baking hot, with REALLY high humiditiy, it was like tropical weather, and thats why its a little frizzy but the short cuts maintains its shape nicely only using a roundbrush on certain areas such as the nape of the neck and the bangs/fringe.

:) hope i helped, hope you find a lovely new do! :)
